Mort d'un militaire français en Afghanistan
22/11/2008 Adjudant-chef Nicolas REY (32 ans, 2 enfants) 3ème Régiment du génie. Une cérémonie militaire a eu lieu mercredi 26 novembre 2008 au 3e régiment du génie (3e RG) de Charleville-Mézières , en hommage à l'adjudant Nicolas Rey, décédé en opération en Afghanistan samedi dernier. Les honneurs militaires lui ont été rendus en présence de Monsieur Hervé Morin, ministre de la Défense, du général d'armée Elrick Irastorza, chef d'état-major de l'armée de Terre, du général de corps d'armée Jean-Loup Chinouilh, commandant la région Terre nord-est et du général de brigade Philippe Bras, commandant la 1re brigade mécanisée (1re BM) . Au cours de la cérémonie, il a été fait chevalier de la Légion dhonneur à tire posthume par le ministre de la Défense. La veille, ladjudant Rey a été décoré de la croix de la Valeur militaire avec citation à lordre de larmée et la Médaille militaire par le chef détat-major de larmée de terre. Notre camarade a également été promu au grade supérieur dadjudant-chef à titre posthume. L'adjudant-chef Nicolas Rey était âgé de 32 ans.

Poor little Amber couldn't do a thing about it. And her poor career went kinda downhill as the people outside her hotel room penthouse cried out...
